A healthy new addition to Groningen’s food scene is FLFL. These two guys started out by selling their delicious falafel from their “bakfiets” bike on the market on Tuesday’s and Friday’s, but as their falafel following expanded, so did their plan to work this concept out and here it is! Located at Oude Kijk in’t Jatstraat, one of the streets where nowadays an array of interesting food concepts can be found, FLFL is here to serve you authentic, delicious falafel and more.
Wrap it up!
When you enter FLFL it has a rustic, welcoming vibe, and you’re immediately curious of what’s on their menu. Of course there is their famous falafel, served in a wrap (XL is an option) or just by itself, but they also serve a heart-warming Shakshuka and Sabich (pita stuffed with grilled eggplant, egg and tahin), which I forget to ask about, googled it, and is definitely the dish I’d like to try next time. The place is a great spot for grabbing a quick bite to eat, whilst enjoying the buzz on the street, or you can easily pick up your order to bring home. But with this lovely weather, why not have a FLFL picnic in the park?
