We all know that we have to drink our H₂O, but how much water do you actually drink per day? I have to admit that often I just somehow forget to drink, and in my opinion I tend to go on longer without drinking, than without food. But taking in enough liquids on a daily basis, aside from coffee and juice, is essential. It affects how you physically feel, it flushes out toxins, it’s good for you kidney function and the list of benefits goes on. Other than more frequent bathroom visits, drinking more per day can only do us good and still a lot of us, neglect the importance of hydration. So today we are setting a 2-week goal of taking on the Healthy New Habit Challenge by drinking more water and test if it in fact brings us the effects of what we feel needs some physical improvements.
A Brand New Healthy Habit
To pick up a habit you must at least incorporate it in your day-to-day life for two weeks and that is exactly what we are going to do and we start today! Since we are avid (herbal) tea drinkers and assume we drink around 1,5 liter on an average day, we will try to increase our intake with 1-to 1½ liter per day, trying to be more structured about it so we really can measure whether we drink sufficiently. After two weeks, we will let you know if we were able to implement the habit and give you an update about the three objectives that have been set, as seen below.
Plan: In the next two weeks increase water intake by 1-1 ½ liters
|Objectives Samira||Objectives Ireen|
|1. Increased level of Energy||1. More Hydrated Skin|
|2. Improved Complexion||2. Improved Focus|
|3. Removal of Toxins||3. Removal of Toxins|
So let us update you in two weeks, and see what has changed after incorporating the Healthy New Habit Challenge! If you have any advice or experiences you would like to share with us, please do! Let’s do this!
