If there’s one thing we love to do after a long day at the office, is sit on the couch and watch our favorite television series. Every day there is, at least, one new episode that we can watch and if it is a Netflix show, we don’t even have to wait a week for a new episode. We can simply binge watch an entire season in a couple of days! There many shows we like to watch, which made it hard to choose just 5 shows for this post. But we did, and in the end, we are happy with our selection.
Vikings – season 4 premiered February 18, 2016
Ragnar, Lagertha, Bjorn Ironside and many more characters to love in Vikings! We love the pace of the show. For the past 3 seasons, we have seen Ragnar become an Earl and a King. The Vikings invaded Northumbria, Wessex and Paris and we have seen his Ragnar’s brother betray him more than once. Overall, there is a lot going on in this show and we can’t stop watching it. Luckily for us, season 4 is consists of 20 episodes, instead of the usual 10!
House of Cards – season 4 premiered on March 4, 2016
As a Democratic Congressman, we first see Frank Underwood get passed over to become the new Secretary of State. Since that moment, in the very first episode, we see him cunningly and ruthlessly get revenge and take out those who stand in his way in order to become the President of the United States. Season 4 premiered on March 4th, 2016. We haven’t seen it yet, but we’ll make time for it soon enough!
Daredevil – season 2 premiered March 18, 2016
Ok, we have to confess that we haven’t started watching Daredevil since two days ago. But we were hearing so many good things about it that we decided to binge watch season 1 this week. And, it didn’t disappoint.
Silicon Valley – season 3 premieres on April 24, 2016
We simply love Silicon Valley! It’s so funny to see all the obstacles this startup company is facing to get funded. After the cliffhanger of last season, we can’t wait to find out if Richard can gain back control of his company Pied Piper.
We haven’t seen these shows yet, because well, there are simply too many good shows out there! However, we couldn’t resist checking out what we can expect this year and the trailers of these two shows really stood out for us.
The Night Manager premiered on February 21, 2016
“A night manager of a European hotel is recruited by intelligence agents to infiltrate an international arms dealer’s network.” – IMDb
Based on the novel of John le Carré this miniseries stars Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie. Do we need to say more?
War and Peace premiered on January 3, 2016
“As the Russian conflict with Napoleon reaches its peak, five aristocratic families face the possibility of their lives being changed forever.” – IMDb
We were a little concerned that it would take a long time before we could recover from not watching Downton Abbey anymore. Luckily “Rose” is one of the stars of War and Peace and suddenly we are energized to get on with our lives and get ready for new shows.
