It’s time to get juicing again and for good reason! I try to minimize my bread intake as much as possible, but I was in Denmark last week where they have great breads and pastries, which I obviously just had to ‘sample’! I’m not even getting into the fact I had some delicious bread and butter pudding my friend made as dessert (in addition to all the other lovely things she prepared).
You can imagine this week, I’m going to tone things down food-wise and attempt to detox from the carbs and sugar. The best way to get that detox going is to drink healthy juices with added vegetables. This Monday we have a delicious recipe for you with fennel, which is cleansing, and pineapple gives you that sweet satisfaction when you try to avoid sugar as much as you can.
List of Ingredients:
– 2 cups of Pineapple
– 1 bulb of Fennel
– Juice of 1 lime
The Juice Song: Foster the People – Nevermind (Alternate Version)
Foster the People is an American indie pop band from L.A., California. Their song “Pumped Up Kicks” became a viral success in 2010, and from there on their fan base grew through small club shows and appearances at the music festivals Coachella and South by Southwest. After releasing their debut album Torches in May 2011, “Pumped Up Kicks” became a crossover hit on commercial radio in mid-2011 and the group received two Grammy Award nominations. Their second album, Supermodel, was released last March 2014 and is everything you need to get this week started!
