They say it’s cheaper and healthier to eat fruits & vegetables that are in season. And, when we think of summer we think of melons. They are refreshing, sweet and low in calories. What more can we ask for during these warm sunny days?!
The key ingredient of the Fruit Loupe smoothie is the cantaloupe melon, which is the most popular melon in the US and many other countries. It gives the smoothie a sweet taste and also provides it with a nice shot of vitamin A (which reduces the sign of wrinkles!). The apricots and carrot compliment the melon very well and give the smoothie the bright orange color.
List of Ingredients:
– 3 cups of Cantaloupe Melon
– 2 Apricots
– 1 Carrot
– 1 cup of Water
Tip: If you want to make this smoothie sweeter, try adding a pear or a delicious red apple. You can also make Fruit Loupe extra fresh with a kiwi. It is always fun to play around with a smoothie recipe and come up with your own Fruit Loupe. So if you do, we would love to hear about it!
The Fruit Loupe Smoothie Song: Mighty Oaks – Brother
Even though this indie folk band is based in Berlin, the band members are from the United States, United Kingdom and Italy. Ian Hooper, Claudio Donzelli and Craig Saunders formed Mighty Oaks in 2010 and immediately booked success when they released their self-produced EP that same year. With 370,000 plays on Soundcloud, fans and the music industry were eager to hear more from Mighty Oaks. The critically acclaimed studio EP, Just One Day, followed in 2012 and this year the band released their first studio album, named Howl. The first single Brother of the album is an upbeat folk song that would make waking up early on Monday morning a bit more doable. Enjoy!
