Ginger is going to take over TFE all week. This root has some powerful qualities, because aside the fact that it brings so much flavor to an array of mostly Asian dishes, there are so many medicinal reasons to use it too! In my experience it is great when you are feeling nauseous, have a flu or stomach ache. A simple way is to let it infuse in boiling water for a while and drink it straight up. However, we do understand that the taste might be a bit too strong, but don’t worry, we have some great combinations for you, that will make you add ginger to your regular grocery list! First up, Ginger Citrus Fruitwater!
List of Ingredients:
- 2 slices of Lemon
- Small piece of Ginger (peeled)
- 2 slices of Orange
- 4 cups of Water
- Optional: ice cubes
How to prepare:
Put all ingredients in a pitcher and add water. It’s best to store in the fridge for an hour or more, to let the flavors infuse, but if you really can’t wait add some ice cubes, give it a stir and enjoy!
