Liquid Candy

It’s Monday again and it’s time to get our blenders going and make a smoothie to start the day on a positive note. Of course, we firmly believe that listening to great music is just as important as eating & drinking right and today we have one funky song for you!

The Liquid Candy smoothie is all about enjoying a sweet and healthy drink. Even though we mix fruit with carrot and cucumber, this smoothie has a candy flavor that brings back childhood memories. Life was all about sweets back then (sigh)! We’ve outgrown our huge cravings for candy over the years but every now and then we can’t resist indulging in something that consist of sugar, sugar and sugar. We wouldn’t say that the Liquid Candy smoothie is a substitute for that, but it comes close! Plus, it doesn’t have all the disadvantages associated with refined sugar.

List of Ingredients

– 1 Banana
– ½ cup of Strawberries
– 1 cup of Raspberries
– 1 Carrot
– ¼ of a Cucumber
– 4 cups of Watermelon (chopped into chunks)
– 1 cup of Water

Tip: The combination of raspberries and watermelon is a great one. It gives the smoothie so much flavor. Try playing with both fruit (adding more/less of them) to create your own ultimate Liquid Candy. Also, a splash of lemon juice makes this smoothie extra FRESH!
