Mood Booster Smoothie

“Keep you face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow.” – Helen Keller

There are those Wednesday’s, and other days for that matter, that need something extra to make that day work. Since retail therapy is not a weekly option, we have to find other things that will give us that instant mood fix. Eating healthy makes you feel better, so treat yourself to a delicious drink such as the Mood Booster smoothie!

For this smoothie we selected orange juice as our liquid base to bring all those flavors together, adding some spinach and flaxseed oil for some extra nutrients and to balance out the sweetness. This is a great pick-me-up drink when you suffer from those 4PM low-bat-moments.

List of Ingredients:

– 1 cup of Strawberries
– ½ Banana
– 1 Kiwi
– 1 cup of Orange Juice
– 1 cup of Spinach
– 1 tsp Flaxseed Oil

The Mood Booster Smoothie Song: Kensington – War

Although this Dutch band started out back in 2005, it was their single Let Go in 2011 that got them picked up nationally as well as internationally and after the release of their second album Vultures, including hits such as Home Again and Ghosts, Kensington was here to stay.

Their latest album Rivals, which came out first week of August, is taking the music scene by storm and has entered the Dutch album chart with a #1 position. Their single Streets was a huge success and All for Nothing is the theme song of the Dutch film “Bloedlink”, starring Tygo Gernandt and Marwan Kenzari. Near the end of this year a sold out clubtour throughout the Netherlands is planned with an additional concert in HMH Amsterdam. These guys seem unstoppable! Not sure which single they will release next, but War sure is one of our favorites!
