TFE Music Playlist September 2014

It’s time for us to share another TFE Music Playlist! There are just a few days left before October starts but with this playlist you can enjoy the smoothie songs of the past 4 weeks. If you want to know why we chose these fresh tunes, read the songs posts below the music playlist. Happy Listening!

Unfortunately, we couldn’t add Beyonce’s Blow to our playlist because it isn’t available on Spotify. But, we love the funky video of the song too! Enjoy!

1) The Spice it up Smoothie Song: Of Monsters and Men – Dirty Paws

Of Monsters and Men is an Icelandic indie folk-pop band. The band’s 2011 debut album My Head is an Animal, reached the No.1 position in Australia, Iceland, Ireland and the U.S., and had major success in Europe as well. You might know their lead single “Little Talks” which had non-stop airplay for weeks, reaching the Top 10 in most music charts in Europe. The band is currently working on a new album, but there is no release date yet. So we just want to give you a little heads up and keep in mind that new music is coming. Their song Dirty Paws was featured in the trailer for the 2013 film “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” (starring Ben Stiller and not to mention partially filmed in Iceland – Fun Film Fact!) and the Iphone 5 Introduction video released in September 2012. For us, it’s just a lovely song for a Monday!

2) The Lime Raspberry Fruitwater Song: Fink – Looking Too Closely

Fink, aka Fin Greenall, is an English singer, songwriter, guitarist, producer and DJ. This multi-skilled artist has been around for a while now, and has collaborations with the big names in the industry,e.g. John Legend and he co-wrote the song “Half Time” with Amy Winehouse. Last July he released the album Hard Believer, his most successful album to date, charting in a great number of European Albums Charts. Looking Too Closely is the first single of the album and makes you curious to listen to the rest of the album. He is touring Europe from late October until November, with shows in Amsterdam, Berlin and London sold out already. No doubt in mind Fink is going to take over 2015 as well!

3) The Bittersweety Smoothie Song: Intergalactic Lovers – Northern Rd

After winning the Oost-Vlaams Rockconcours and Rock Rally De Beloften in 2009 their first successful single, “Fade Away”, reached the playlists of Belgian radio channels. Intergalactic Lovers then released “Delay”, which was chosen as “Hotshot” by Studio Brussel.Following this band ever since their break through, we welcomed their second album with open arms. And with a quick glance at their tour schedule, we can definitely confirm that they have established themselves as international artists! Northern Rd is their first single of the album and a perfect end of the week song/start of the weekend song.

4) The Green light Smoothie Song: Beyonce – Blow

So we have the Green Light smoothie recipe for you with today’s music, which is obviously a song of Queen B’s latest, self titled album. No explanation needed and no doubt this combination will lift you up and make you want to shake it like Beyoncé all day long! Happy Weekend everybody!

5) The Strawberry Swing Smoothie Song: Sia – Burn the Pages

Not only has she worked with the greatest artists of the moment (think: David Guetta, Beyoncé, Eminem, seriously the list is endless), but also has she topped international charts with her own work. This summer her new album called 1000 Forms of Fear was released and it’s definitely one to listen! We have chosen Burn The Pages to start off this week. Trust us, you’ll love it!

6) The Indian Summer Smoothie Song: Coldplay – True Love

This band doesn’t need an introduction. They are loved and praised all over the world and let’s face it, they know how to please a crowd. Coldplay started out about two decades ago and are still at the top of their game. Ghost Stories is their latest album, released last May where True Love is their fourth single. Great band, great music, great album….Ready, Set, Go Indian Summer!!

7) The Cocoa Nutty Smoothie Song: Jett Rebel – Tonight

What a year it has been so far for Jelte Tuinstra aka Jett Rebel. His album came out in May and every single released has been a huge success which resulted in him appearing at every major festival in Holland this year. Venus&Mars showcases his skills as a multi-talented artist and we can’t wait to see him perform during his tour at the end of the year. Tonight is a great song which will kickstart your Monday and/or make you reminisce the weekend!

8) The Coconut-Pineapple Fruitwater Song: Milky Chance – Flashed Junk Mind

These two young guns from Germany seemed like they appeared out of nowhere and claimed instant success. It all happened when Clemens and Philipp uploaded their (entirely self-produced) track “Stolen Dance” on Youtube. It became a viral success, racking up 30+ million views and the rest is history. They have been touring Europe all summer and we don’t know about you, but we have their songs stuck in our head. Sadnecessary is the name of their album and Flashed Junk Mind is their latest single. Keep an eye on these guys!!
