“Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would go to pieces, I would still plant my apple tree.” ~ Martin Luther
Whatever time of the day you prefer to work out, there is always that sense of relief when you can stop that feeling of total dehydration (and passing out) after exercising, even though you brought two bottles of liquids with you during that one hour spinning class.
This juice is perfect when you prefer not to have solids before working out and a real thirst quencher after, to hydrate and give your body some nutrients to recover. And besides that, it tastes so good, you can’t wait for your next work-out, so you’ll be able to treat yourself to the Zesty Apple Juice again.
You see what I mean? It’s a win-win situation!
List of Ingredients:
– 1 Orange
– 2 Apples
– 1 Lemon
– 2 medium-sized Carrots
– 1 Celery stalk
How to prepare: This is the first juice recipe we are posting on TFE, therefore we will give you a quick how-to. For this recipe you will need a juicer. All ingredients can be processed entirely, except for the orange and lemon, which have to be peeled! The zest doesn’t taste good (spoken from own experience years ago: something about the juicer being a birthday gift, new gadget excitement and not being big on manuals, surely you can relate to that right?). So put everything in and within seconds you’ll be able to enjoy your very own fresh juice!
The Zesty Apple Juice Song: Ingrid Michaelson – Wonderful Unknown
Music is a great way to wind down after a busy day and let’s make that happen with today’s song from Ingrid Michaelson, called Wonderful Unknown. Her music was used in the hit TV-show Grey’s Anatomy, various TV-commercials and her song Parachute has been picked up by Cheryl Cole for her own album. The indie-pop singer/songwriter from New York has six albums to her name, with her latest released in April this year, called Lights Out.
