There is nothing better than ice cold refreshments during a hot summer day. And even if it’s not that hot, we love a good popsicle. It takes us back to the days when we were kids and a popsicle was something we would end the day at the pool with. However, most popsicles available in the supermarket contain a lot of sugar and other additives. So why not make it yourself? You have this old school popsicle trays, but a while ago I bought the Zoku Quick Pop Maker Duo!
Instead of waiting for your ingredients to freeze, you can store the Pop Maker station in the freezer overnight. The only thing you need to do the next day is select the ingredients, pour it in and you’ll have a delicious popsicle within 9 minutes. You literally see the liquid freeze into a popsicle! Now how cool is that? At first I thought it would be a great activity for my nephews and nieces, but my sister and I were even more excited! Such food nerds…
Another great thing is that you can vary with different types of fruit, juices and yoghurt, leaving you with endless options and you know exactly which ingredients are in there and make it as healthy as you wish. Get creative!
How to make a Zoku popsicle:
- Select your ingredients of choice
- Take out the popsicle station from the freezer and insert the popsicle sticks
- Pour in the liquid and wait 9 minutes
- Carefully turn the Super Tool which releases the popsicle from the mold
- Take it out and have yourself your very own home-made popsicle!
NB. The Zoku Quick Pop Maker Duo makes around 6 popsicles before you need to put the station back into the freezer. Need more capacity? There is also a Zoku Quick Pop Maker Triple!
